Regulatory Status
The Scottish Housing Regulator has informed Ore Valley Housing Association that our regulatory compliance is changing from ‘Compliant’ to ‘Non-compliant, working towards compliance’.
The Regulator’s areas of focus relate to the following standards:
Regulatory Standard 1 – that the governing body leads and directs the RSL to achieve good outcomes for its tenants and other service users.
Regulatory Standard 4 – that the governing body bases its decisions on good quality information and advice and identifies and mitigates risks to the organisation’s purpose.
Regulatory Standard 5 – that the RSL conducts its affairs with honesty and integrity.
The Regulator has tasked the Association with addressing its concerns by undertaking a number of steps to assure them of our compliance. Progress has already been made with significant work undertaken by both the Board and staff of the Association who are working hard to address the matters at hand and restore our position to one of compliance.
