Ore Valley Housing Association is delighted to launch its new electric bike project offering free hire of one of four ebikes (and supporting equipment such as helmets, glasses, hi-visibility vests etc.) for registered tenants and local residents aged 18 or older for anywhere up to three weeks.

The scheme is designed to encourage adoption of more sustainable transport as well as plug gaps in local transport networks, such as the ‘last mile’, enabling links between existing networks (train, bus etc.) and users’ homes. The bikes can be folded to make them easier to use on public transport and offer up to 30 miles of range - more than enough to get from Cardenden or Lochgelly to Glenrothes, Kirkcaldy or Dunfermline.
