Coronavirus Update - Ore Valley Offices

The Government advice is to reduce all non-essential contact and look to provide ‘social distancing’ including the avoidance of large group gatherings and densely populated spaces, such as bars, restaurants and offices. With this in mind, in order to be able to maximise the chance of being able to provide continuous services we are going to change the way we provide services. With effect from Wednesday 18th March at 2PM, our team is going to be spread between two locations - our Cardenden Office and our Business Centre in Lochgelly. This will allow us to fully test our ability to continue to work from remote locations. From Monday 23rd March, our office will be closed and our staff will be working from home. All of our staff have equipment to allow them to access all of the Ore Valley Housing Association computer systems and telephone systems.

18th March 2020

I am writing to advise you of our changing arrangements in relation to coronavirus (COVID-19). This is a fast moving ever changing exceptional situation and we are trying to ensure that we do whatever we can to continue to provide support to our tenants, to our staff and maintain business continuity.

During this period we will continue to be available by telephone on our normal numbers, or by email. Our Tenant Portal is also a good way of getting in touch with us. We will be continuing to allocate properties and sign up new tenants, we will continue to provide support to tenants with any issues they have and if need be we can be available for visits subject to the completion of a risk assessment.

We are in daily contact with our contractors who have indicated that they will continue to deliver our repairs service subject to risk assessment and appropriate measures.

In the coming days we will be contacting all of our tenants over the age of 70 to establish that they have support in place if required and if not we will consider how best to assist in providing any help necessary.

The message I want to leave you with is that although we may not be in the office we are not disappearing, we are continuing to provide a range of services and you should contact us either by phone or e-mail or through the Tenant Portal to discuss any issues you may have.

If you have any queries or concerns please do not hesitate to contact us.

Yours,

Andrew Saunders
Chief Executive Officer
