Despite the date, our Tenant Conference wasn’t a spooky affair. Held on the 29th October, we welcomed our tenants to enjoy some community theatre and a talk about tenant participation.
Scottish actress and owner of Breeze Productions, Naomi Breeze, joined us at our Tenant Conference for the 2nd time, this time performing her original one-woman play, Four Walls. Naomi had this to say about the experience, “Fabulous morning with OVHA! I received a warm and friendly welcome from staff and tenants and would like to thank them all for inviting me back to perform Four Walls.”
Another special guest who joined us was Lesley Baird, the Chief Executive of the Tenant Participation Advisory Service Scotland, a great organisation whose sole aim is to connect tenants with the housing associations that serve them, making for a better all round experience. Lesley gave a talk on what TPAS does, and how tenant participation can benefit you. We managed to catch up with Lesley afterwards and she said, “Ore Valley’s Tenant Conference was a good lively programme with lots of information & importantly lots of conversations with tenants, getting involved & having their say in their services. Lots of new recruits for tenant participation. Very well done!”
