Since Monday we have been posting tips and facts up on our Facebook all about ways you can save energy and in turn save money. We have also been Tweeting!

However if Facebook and Twitter aren't your thing, have a look at the tips and images below!

  • Switching energy supplier could save you around £200, some even more. To find out how you can save call Home Energy Scotland on 0808 808 2282
  • Move furniture away from radiators if you can. It will allow the room to heat up more effectively.
  • Nearly half (46%) of people in the UK still need to draught-proof their windows and doors. This could save you £25 to £35 a year.
  • Replacing all standard bulbs and halogen spotlights in your home with energy saving light bulbs could save you £35. If everyone in the UK did this, we’d save £300 million every year.
  • You can save around £30 a year just by remembering to turn your appliances off standby mode. 78% of people regularly leave at least two devices on standby. Turning these off would save the UK around £600m a year.
  • If you use as much water as needed you could save around £7 in energy bills a year and around £46m for the UK.
  • Spending one minute less in the shower each day could save as much as £10 off energy bills each year.
