Fife Housing Association Alliance, the collaborative partnership between the four Fife based Associations (Fife, Glen, Kingdom & Ore Valley), has devised an in-house CPD training programme for staff to increase their knowledge of services and projects which support sustainable tenancies and, in turn, benefit the tenants.
This year we looked at a completely new way to judge our Garden Competition. We asked people to enter into a choice of 4 categories: Best Kept Garden, Best Fruit and Vegetable Garden, Best Mixed Garden and Best Floral Baskets and Containers.
The Scottish Housing Regulator is the body which looks after social housing and makes sure that all social housing providers are hitting certain standards and targets. They publish a Landlord Report every year which compares the different housing associations against the Scottish average on various different aspects including rent prices, tenant satisfaction and quality of houses.
