![]() Energy Projects Ore Valley Housing Association is developing a number of energy and sustainability projects aimed at addressing the association’s Wider Role remit of making our local communities better places to live in. In particular, the projects aim to address a variety of local and national issues including fuel poverty, affordable warmth, climate change, sustainable growth, job creation and community empowerment. ![]() The Cardenden Heat And Power project aims to deliver affordable, low carbon heat and hot water to residents of Cardenden through the use of a biomass-fed heat network. Combined heat and power systems are popular in mainland Europe but this will be one of the first in Scotland. ![]() Our Fife Community Wind project is developing a number of community-owned wind turbines at sites across Fife. The project aims to deliver revenue streams from the re-sale of the ‘green’ electricity generated back to the grid with the proceeds of this sale used for various local community benefits.
Oour broadband project is exploring the possibility of a high-speed fibre-optic network for Cardenden as a partner project alongside our CHAP development.
Further detailed information on all of our energy project can be found on each project's web page.
