![]() The proposal is for 10,000 sq ft of office accommodation. The site identified is a gap site on Lochgelly Main Street, the delivery of a high quality building will assist in the completion of the physical regeneration of the Town Centre. Ore Valley Housing Association and Fife HARCA Ltd. have been involved in a wider programme of regeneration in Lochgelly including: the successful restoration of the formerly derelict Lochgelly Miners Institute which has been leased to Adam Smith College, development of high quality social housing, development of retail units, an audit of open space and the development of an action plan for improving the areas identified in conjunction with the community, as well as supporting a wide range of community initiatives. The proposed business centre will be highly energy efficient, consistent with Lochgelly's recently confirmed status as one of the towns selected through the Scottish Sustainable Communities Initiative.
